Tonight we made an Italian duo, combining a Jamie Oliver recipe for “Italian Pan-Seared Tuna” with this “Cherry Caprese Salad” recipe.
The tuna recipe involved a tomato-olive-basil-anchovy sauce which we used salted anchovies for, and those anchovies were the saltiest things I’ve ever encountered, so the sauce didn’t come out so well - I think we were meant to use un-salted anchovies. Oh, and that was the first time I’d voluntarily eaten anchovies. My impression of them? SALT.
Anyway, ignoring the sauce (salt-ce), the tuna itself came out really yummy and went along well with the caprese salad. I’d do that duo again.
