Usually when we get spaghetti squash, we do some sort of typical spaghetti dish with it, like spaghetti with bolognese or spaghetti with meatballs. This time, though, I wanted to try something not tomato-based - so I found this recipe for Spicy Spaghetti Squash with Italian Sausage & Peppers. We sped up the cooktime by microwaving the squash (works just as well), used bacon instead of ham, and used poblano pepper instead of anaheim. It smelled so good while it was cooking, and it tasted just as good. I hope we get another spaghetti squash in the CSA next week!
